Presented by Laura Beth Kalvas, PhD, RN
Delirium in pediatric critical illness is associated with poor clinical outcomes. Sleep disruption in the pediatric intensive care unit may contribute to the development of delirium. In her research, Dr. Kalvas explores the association between sleep disruption and delirium in pediatric critical illness, as well as the effect of a chronotherapeutic care bundle on circadian rhythms in critically ill children.
