About this item
Dr. Emily Hokett completed her PhD program in Cognitive Neuroscience at Georgia Tech under the mentorship of Dr. Audrey Duarte. At Georgia Tech, Emily studied relationships among sleep quality, episodic memory, aging, and race and ethnicity. She is currently a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Manly. Her research focus is on sleep quality and related protective factors that may influence healthy neurocognitive aging in racially and ethnically diverse adults. Emily’s long term research goals involve developing and designing practical sleep interventions to improve sleep quality in minoritized racial and ethnic groups and thereby reduce racial and ethnic health disparities.
